okie. I shall now officially conclude my japan trip! :D

ONE. You will never realise how much city lights and 24 hr convenience stores are (VERY MUCH) appreciated at night until you go to long-lost-almost-abandoned-places. like Takayama :)

yes, due to the fact that it is winter, and that the sun sets at four, the whole towns goes to sleep and becomes a place for zombies to roam. So we sort of walked around in the dark using starlight and traffic lights to help guide us around :)

BTW, 24 hr convenience stores are really quite interesting actually. like, there's stockings, and manga magazines, and dessert, and dvds, and plastic spoons and... well, you get the point. :D

TWO. Business hotels have way better channels and is a lot cheaper than the fancy-for-tourist-only hotels :D

Ppl, if you are going to Matsumoto, GO TO RICHMOND HOTEL, because they have really cool channels. There's this channel called Animax, which shows ANIME NON STOP FOR 24 HOURS A DAY. oh, and they have bbc world news, and channels dedicated purely to movies (in english). (>v<)b My sister got sick so we rested at the richmond hotel for one whole day, so i just casually checked out the channels. :D

that hotel has really cool toiletries too :D

THREE. Onsens work best when u have really bad eyesight.

uh, that is self explanatory. :)

FOUR. Eating in japanese restaurants without spilling anything is an art :)

Dont worry, you'll get used to it :)

FIVE. Those japanese people have really cool grandmas.

So, my sister and i were walking along this track in the mountains in god-knows-where, and we chanced upon this house with this awesome grandma in front. she gave us (FREE) dried permissons, and her hair was a violent shade of PURPLE. i bet she was a harajuku kid when she was younger. or a serious manga fan :D

SIX. Snow makes a really dangerous weapon.

Snowball fights are really not as fun as you think it is. FOR EXAMPLE, snow sorts fo clumps together to form soild ice. SO my sister threw a chunk of that SOLID ICE into my back. it hurts like crap. really.

SEVEN. Just because the whole theme park is deserted, that does not mean that it is really wise to go on multiple roller coaster rides at once.

Trust me. your head will hurt like hell.

Speaking of rides, there was this really scary ride, called the White Canyon and it is made out of WOOD. yeah, but it super-de-duper violent and prove how violent it is, after going on it the second time (my sister pulled me back on it), i smacked my head on the sideboard of the carriage and obtained a headache that makes migraines look like nothing.

yups, but it cleared... after i left the theme park. ==

EIGHT. All inanimate objects are never really.... inanimate.

Ok, so the theme park we went to had this mascot, which was a dog with a super sad face. So as we were leaving the park, we saw a human sized mascot kinda proped on the stairs, leaning against the railing, facing the anumsent park. my mom was like "omg, it lookes so sad"

then my dad goes up next to it and says "let's take a picture with it", before patting its head. the for some unknown reason, he says "what a stupid dog" and WHACKS its head.

and the dogs moves and waves its hands wildly, the way someone would when fending off an attacker.

my first thought?

"Japanese technology is so goooood..."

before i realised that it was a human in the mascot suit.

:O

i laughed until my stomach cramped.

i think my dad had a major heart attack.

NINE. If one plans his/her time properly on a plane, it is possible to watch four moives in a row, and play bookworm as well. ;D

Yeps, i watched G-Force, Bandslam, Four Christmases and The Simpsons. :D they were good.

OKIE, i will go and read my manga now, and spend time fangirling over Usui Takumi. KYAAA~

hello :)

i am in JAPAN! YAY!! \(^0^)/

Gifu was totally boring, except for the part where i had my first japanese convo :D

ME: Can i borrow spoons? (in JAP, OBVIOUSLY)

THE-MAN-AT-THE-FRONT-DESK: Yes, yes, of course.

then he disappeared for a while to the back before coming back out again. THEN

HIM: Please wait for a while

ME: okays~

-pause-

HIM: Ninhon wa jyouzu desu! *smiles*

ME: *confused* YUPS.

THEN. i realized that i confused my benkyou (study) for jyouzu (good). SO. the point is that i had just egostically proclaimed that my japanese was very good. - -"

YAY for me.

ok. Rented a car, went to goju-hachiman (a little tiny village situated in a valley) the next day, walked, walked, walked, walked, had about 50 sticks of (VERY GOOOD) beef, walked, walked, walked, walked, then went to takayama. :)

NEXT NEXT DAY.

-ditto- except we went to shirakawago. (another tiny village situated in some valley too :D) and the car was a hybrid. SO COOL.

TODAY.

went to the morning market, walked, walked, then went to some soba place for lunch. wasnt very great tho. D:

my sister had some cold soba thing. which looked and tasted horrible. my mom had to sacrifice her lunch so that my sister could actually EAT something.

after that we walked and walked and walked again, before taking a taxi to the Teddy Eco Village. SOUNDS SUPER COOL RIGHT? I KNOW :))))

the place was chock full with TEDDY BEARS. that place is so super cool. but their english wasnt very good. like, there was this painting, with very cute bears and everything, and they were standing behind this sign that LOUDLY SAID:

yup yup, then walked a bit more before taking a bus back, then ate something, then went back to the hotel.

OH. BTW. we have our dinner at 4++ in the afternoon :) because the sun goes down like, at that time. so yeah. thats about it. i try and get the pictures in soon :)

I hvt been posting due to the fact that i hvnt gone on the com for a few weeks. :( due to unfortunate circumstances which i wont really bother to explain

but anyway, im back again, so no worries :)

IM FLYING OFF TO JAPAN IN A FEW HOURS TIME. I AM SO EXCITED WHEE~

its so fun to multitask.

im supposed to be sleeping now to conserve energy for tonight's flight so i can hv a movie marathon, but i wont be able to sleep until i post and do my chin tuition hw. EW, im turning into such a nerd. :O

I ALSO MADE A BLOG FOR MY DAD!

well, technically, its his "travel blog", (whereby he can post about his trip in japan and other trips to god-knows-where, as well as show of his photography skills) but i get a feeling that im going to be in charge of it. =="

so the blog will be DEAD quite soon.

im able to bring the mac to japan, so i MAY post about the trip. but dun be too excited. :)

if need be, i shall just post a couple of pics on FB. MAYBE.

today was the inter-class competition :D

we (the soccer team) exceeded our expectations by scoring 1 goal against 1/9! :D

that was fun :) (i was the one which cheered them on, seeing that i didnt participate in that particular match ==")

but my legs are like, dying from extreme kicking and getting hit by the ball D:

and so is my right hand! (into which the ball was kicked at many times, for no apparent reason)

...

then there was this rubbish talk abt first impressions and stuff, which no one paid attention too

it was super boring

and it was damn HOT. like, what happened to the audi?!

today was super fun! but tiring

we had the team building cum sec 4 farewell :)

we went to skl first, before going to east coast park, before going back for bbq :D

AT SCHOOL:

we made the track banner :)

FYI, IM THE ONE WHO PAINTED THE SMILEY FACE

they said it was acceptable!

hmph.

ANYWAYS

we got our hands super dirty :D

and we washed it off with turpentine!

BTW, IF U DUNNO, IT REALLY STINKS :)

AND ITS VERY OILY :)

of course, we dried the banner after that

with a lot of noise!

i kept losing my grip on the banner O:

and the paint might hv gone onto the very clean and nice white part

BUT IT DIDNT! :D

after that we boarded the bus to east coast park

LONG D had a whole bus to themselves :D

so cool right?! xD

then the sec 1s played "Concentration" on the bus

but we kept getting distracted O:

had Macs for lunch, then went to play games :)

there were charades and captains ball! :)

the charades were ok, BUT

WE LOST VERY BADLY FOR THE CAPTAINS BALL O:

but that was ok :)

the other long d team helped us get revenge :)

there was also poison ball!

THE LONG D WON (in terms of event groups)

yes, i noe, we are very pro :D

oh, we also played A-E-I-O-U

im surprised at the number of ppl who dunno that game O:

there was free time after that, so we went to 7/11 to buy drinks

I MADE A BIG DISCOVERY!

i dun like slurpee O:

its too sweet.

then we met celeste, who also happened to be at marine bowl with her dad

and after wasting time there, we were late for the bus! ==

MY BAG ISNT SUITABLE FOR RUNNING - -"

im too lazy to say anything abt the rest, so lets just skip to the bbq :D

IT WAS TREMENDOUSLY FUN :DDD

and the very pro long team section won the two competitions, which were:

"Which event group can start the fire first" and "Which event group cooks the best"

HAH

we did the bbq-ing inside the canteen though

because it rained D:

The seniors were doing some funny stop-the-rain-dace thingy before it started raining

obviously it didnt work, but it was very funny :D

as for winning the "Which event group can cook the best" competition

it was a BIG SURPRISE

because we had our food rejected many times O:

because they were all still very bloody - -"

but apparently we won because our fire wasnt producing a lot of smoke, and our food didnt get chao-tah.......much :)

BTW, im going to get food poisoning O:

because the beef satay wasnt properly cooked

AND I DIDNT NOE AND ATE 2 STICKS O:

we only knew after we gave the satays to the sec 3s and they informed us that it was not properly cooked O:

BUT BY THEN IT WAS TOO LATE ==

oh heck.

then we ate marshmallows :)

BECAUSE ITS FRIDAY!

i feel as high as that penguin they showed us today during the computer-restraint-thingy talk :)

The talk was super funny! :D

But the speaker didnt get to the point..... much

But it was ok!

cuz we got SWEETS

n i found out that the guava fruitplus tastes very nice :)

today we also had fruit hunting and a learn-self-defence-thingy

O:

the fruit hunting was A COMPLETE FAILURE

not for our class, but for Kaiqing and me O:

they told us they hid the fruits somewhere around the SCHOOL

so our class split up into teams

to search literally everywhere (yes, we are a very good class that does our planning:))

AND EVEN ON THE 4TH LEVEL

and when the whole thing ends, they tell us it was only on the first level

D<

we were like super pissed

we ran all the way up for NOTHING! >(

HMPH

total waste of TIME

but our class got the 3rd prize,so "all's well that end's well" :)

and our prize was "very nutritous and healthy u msut eat" muffins

or so they claim :)

they were delicious though :)

while we were waiting for the results!

and we had a practical session :)
